A commercial tree has to do two jobs a retail tree never does: survive a season of open weather, and read from the far side of a parking lot. Ours are built on bolt-together steel frames, pre-strung with commercial-grade LED, and anchored with ballast plates or guy-wire rated for the wind exposure of the actual site. The 14-foot is the size most courtyards and entrances land on; past about 20 feet you are into civic-square territory.
